The Best Homemade Beef Burger Recipe Ever!

The BBQ season is upon us so here’s a recipe for delicious, mouthwatering burgers that are simple to make, can be made in advance and even frozen.

Recipe: Makes 12 burgers

900 grams steak minced ( can be most kinds, it depends on how ‘gourmet’ you want to go, or whatever is on offer at your butchers counter. Ask them to mince it for you, or you can mince your own if you have a food processor9

300 grams ordinary minced beef

3 médium onions very finely chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

salt and pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teasppon garlic powder

a good splash of lea and perrins sauce

Method:

Fry the onions in the olive oil with the paprika and garlic powder under softened but not coloured.

Put both minced beefs into a large bowl, add fried onions, lea and perrins and season very well with salt and pepper.

At this point I fry a little of the mixture off to check for seasoning and then adjust if necessary.

Shape into burgers and place between 2 sheets of greaseproof paper to stop them sticking and drying out and refridgerate until needed.

Alternatively cover well and freeze.
